The New York Times Student Journalism Institute is run by The New York Times in partnership with NAHJ, NABJ and CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.

Twenty-six students participated in this year’s New York Times Student Journalism Institute. The team included 10 reporters, five photographers, four copy editors, two data journalists, two video journalists, two page designers and a social media editor. More than two dozen current and former journalists from The Times mentored the students during the reporting process.
